On Ferrow Street the gods are small, forgotten and broke, and one of them has just gone missing.
Ferrow Street is where gods go when nobody prays to them anymore: the god of lost buttons rents a room above the launderette, the goddess of good parking runs the corner shop, and the god of first frosts sleeps most of the year. Now the god of the street itself has vanished, and the lamps are going out one by one. A pawnbroker who accepts offerings as collateral, a fading street god, a police detective who does not believe any of this, and a night-shift nurse who has started seeing things in the hospital corridors have until the last lamp goes dark to find out who takes a god, and why.
4 roles. You take one; your friends take the rest, and the narrator plays any left over. Anyone can bring a character of their own into a role instead.
A pawnbroker whose shop takes gods' relics as collateral and who knows exactly how much every miracle on the street is worth.
The small god of things found in gutters, who has been worshipped by exactly one person for forty years and has just lost a sibling.
A police detective assigned a missing-persons case on Ferrow Street who refuses, so far, to believe the missing person is a god.
A night-shift nurse at the hospital at the end of Ferrow Street who has started seeing gods in the corridors at three in the morning.
