The Great Pudding Bake-Off

Somebody put salt in the champion's sugar. The Little Wending Pudding Prize will never be the same.

For forty years the Little Wending Pudding Prize has been the most important thing in the village calendar, and for eleven of them it has been won by the defending champion. This year a newcomer has entered with a recipe nobody can place, the judge has been brought in from the county and seems to be taking it far too seriously, and on the morning of the first round someone swapped the champion's sugar for salt. The vicar is supposed to keep the peace. Nobody has told the vicar the bunting has gone missing too.
